Clinic Overview & Credentials
Unleashed Medical operates out of a suite on East Fort King Street in Ocala, FL, and by most conventional metrics it is a small practice. Fifty Google reviews, a single listed provider, services that span testosterone replacement therapy, peptide therapy, and stem cell therapy. What makes the practice notable is not its size but its consistency: every one of those 50 reviews carries five stars, with zero ratings below that threshold across the full dataset. That kind of uniformity is rare enough to warrant a closer look at what patients are actually saying.
The provider at the center of nearly every review is identified as Sam Ranney, referred to variously as "Sam" and "Dr. Ranney" across the review record. His name appears in the majority of submitted feedback, and the themes that cluster around him, clinical knowledge, protocol specificity, accessibility, and follow-through, repeat with enough regularity to suggest a pattern rather than a promotional outlier.
Across 48 scraped Google reviews spanning August 2022 through January 2026, eight distinct themes emerged from patient feedback. The two most prominent were staff quality (cited in 52.1% of reviews, 25 of 48) and prescriber quality (cited in 50% of reviews, 24 of 48). Communication ranked third at 41.7% (20 reviews), followed by intake process at 27.1% (13 reviews), and subjective results at 22.9% (11 reviews).
A smaller but noteworthy cluster, 14.6% of reviews (7 patients), explicitly compared Unleashed Medical to a prior provider. In every instance, the comparison favored the Ocala practice. Value for cost appeared in 8.3% of reviews (4 patients), and follow-up care in 6.3% (3 patients). No negative sentiment was recorded in any theme category.
The star distribution is absolute: 48 five-star reviews, zero reviews at any other rating.
What the data does not surface is any significant volume of feedback on stem cell therapy specifically; the review record skews heavily toward TRT experiences. Patients considering peptide therapy or regenerative services will find less review-based signal to work from.
Solid and very informative. Sam is well versed in the research and safest protocols. Makes the process so easy. The way he talks about everything on IG is the exact same way he talks to you. Super easy to reach and very responsive. He should be the first person anyone should talk to when it comes to maximizing your health and longevity in the safest way possible. UPDATED; 8 months later, Sam remains as responsive as on the first day. His approach is phenomenal and remarkably measured. What sets him apart is his constant awareness of the latest research. If you're a nerd like me, you'll thoroughly enjoy our conversations and counseling sessions. I highly recommend him.
The review record for Unleashed Medical in Ocala is, in practical terms, a record about one clinician. Sam Ranney is named or clearly referenced in the overwhelming majority of submitted feedback, and the characterizations are specific rather than generic.
Multiple patients note that his clinical communication style is consistent across contexts. One reviewer updated a prior entry eight months after the original submission, specifically to confirm that responsiveness had not declined over time. Another patient describes him as "the easiest medical professional I've ever worked with," citing clarity and directness as distinguishing traits.
On the protocol side, at least one patient with eight weeks of TRT experience noted that the practice uses MCT oil as a carrier rather than seed oils, and characterized the dosing frequency as aligned with current best practices. That level of specificity in a patient review is uncommon and suggests a provider who explains clinical rationale rather than simply issuing prescriptions.
Dr. Ranney is honestly the easiest medical professional I've ever worked with. He's super responsive, answers every question without making anything confusing, and breaks everything down in a way that actually makes sense. No runaround, no guessing, just straight, clear info. If you're looking for or even considering TRT, this is the guy to contact. He gives you to-the-point information, walks you through the whole process, and makes the entire experience simple and stress-free. Couldn't recommend him more.
Extremely happy with my results almost 8 weeks in. First the more research I've done the more I realize Sam Ranney is following the current best practices reegarding the frequency and dose as well as the use of MCT oil i stead of seed oils to mix the testosterone. All these things have kept away any side effects. Second I was in decent shape before starting but my workouts are harder and now I feel my recovery is faster and my body is definitely getting better results. Lastly theres no denying the improvement in libido. So all that to say I'm extremely happy with my results.
The intake process theme appeared in 27.1% of reviews, and the consistent characterization across those entries is speed and simplicity. Words like "straightforward," "streamlined," and "stress-free" appear across multiple independent submissions. One patient who had recently given birth and was the sole working parent in her household specifically cited the absence of a drawn-out process as a deciding factor.
The practice appears to operate with a telehealth or hybrid model; multiple reviewers reference home medication delivery as part of the standard experience. One patient described the consultation as 30 minutes and noted that medications are delivered directly to the home. No reviewer describes a burdensome in-person requirement.
I was originally prescribed through a different office and switching over was way easier than I expected. I'd just had a baby and being the only working parent, I didn't have time for a long, drawn-out process. Everything was quick, simple, and stress-free and i would highly recommend!!!
For veterans specifically, one reviewer noted the practice is "veteran friendly," though no additional detail is provided in the review record about what that designation means in practice.
Seven reviews, 14.6% of the total dataset, come from patients who transferred from another provider. This is a meaningful cohort because switcher reviews tend to be more evaluative than first-time patient reviews; the patient has a direct comparison point.
The prior providers described in these reviews are characterized in two ways: cookie-cutter protocols and inconsistent results. One reviewer described experiencing "major ups and downs" on a local clinic's protocol before a free consultation with Ranney identified the issue. Another described being on medication "I didn't need" before switching and reported feeling better at lower cost afterward.
The comparison reviews also highlight personalization as the primary differentiator. The phrase "cookie cutter" appears in multiple independent reviews, always in reference to the prior provider rather than Unleashed Medical.
I was amazed on how easy and smooth this entire transaction has become. Coming from a company that had me on a cookie cutter protocol to Sam who definitely tailored my treatment specifically for me is night and day. I wholeheartedly recommend them for your TRT and other health needs because they do more than just TRT.
Can't say enough good things about unleashed medical and Dr Ranney, I was using a local clinic for my TRT. But my protocol was leaving me having major ups and downs, I saw an add with Dr Ranney and did a free consult, he was able to identify the issues and what he would do to correct it. Everything was done quickly and professionally. I highly recommend.
Four reviews specifically address cost, a small but consistent signal. The characterizations are favorable: "very affordable," "a lot cheaper," and "affordable and customized to my needs" all appear as independent submissions. One patient explicitly contrasted the cost with other TRT clinics they had contacted.
The review record does not include specific pricing figures, so direct cost comparisons are not possible from this data. What the reviews do suggest is that patients who transferred from other providers frequently cite cost reduction as a secondary benefit, with protocol quality cited as the primary motivator.
One reviewer noted that the provider "cares for his patients first not just trying to make a dollar," which, while subjective, reflects a perception of priorities that appears across multiple entries in different forms.
The source dataset contains zero reviews below five stars. Under standard editorial practice, this section would examine critical reviews for friction signals. With no such reviews available, the more useful exercise is identifying what the review record does not cover.
Gaps in the review record:
No practice is universal, and the review record, despite its uniformity, offers some implicit signals about fit.
Patients who prefer in-person clinical environments with on-site blood draws, face-to-face consultations, and walk-in availability may find the practice's model less suitable. The review record consistently describes a remote or delivery-based experience, which is a feature for some patients and a limitation for others.
Patients seeking high-volume clinical infrastructure, multiple providers, specialist referral networks, or same-day urgent care are likely better served by a larger institutional practice. Unleashed Medical reads, across its review record, as a high-touch single-provider operation. That model has documented strengths in personalization and accessibility. Its ceiling in terms of clinical breadth is less documented.
Patients whose primary interest is stem cell therapy or peptide therapy, rather than TRT, should approach with the understanding that the review record offers limited signal on those service lines specifically.
The following table reflects publicly available rating and review data for comparable clinics in the Ocala area.
| Clinic | Rating | Review Count | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unleashed Medical | 5.0 | 50 | Single provider; TRT-dominant review record |
| Gameday Men's Health Ocala | 5.0 | 317 | Highest review volume in the local market |
| SE Ocala - Recharge Clinic | 4.7 | 349 | Highest total review count locally |
| Yunique Medical | 4.9 | 282 | Strong rating with substantial review base |
| Advanced TRT Clinic | 5.0 | 4 | Insufficient review volume for pattern analysis |
| Vantage Urologic Institute | 1.7 | 11 | Significant rating gap; different service focus |
Unleashed Medical holds a perfect rating but carries the second-lowest review count among the five-star clinics in this comparison set. Gameday Men's Health and SE Ocala's Recharge Clinic both carry substantially larger review bases, which provide more statistical confidence in their ratings. The practice's 50-review perfect score is meaningful but should be read in that context.
What do patients consistently say about Sam Ranney's clinical knowledge?
The prescriber quality theme appears in exactly half of all reviews (24 of 48), making it the second most cited theme in the dataset. Patients describe Ranney as well-versed in current research, specific about protocol rationale, and able to explain clinical decisions in plain language. One patient who updated their review eight months after the original submission confirmed that the quality of clinical engagement had not declined over time.
Samuel is very professional and is truly compassionate about helping his clients. he creates an atmosphere that exemplifies comfort in a southern capacity. he is now my provider and i look forward to his guidance moving forward! 10/10
How responsive is the practice between appointments?
Communication is the third most cited theme in the review record, appearing in 41.7% of reviews (20 of 48). Patients describe responsiveness via email and text, with multiple reviewers specifically noting that questions are answered promptly and without unnecessary complexity. One reviewer confirmed consistent responsiveness across an eight-month follow-up window.
I am so glad to have Sam as my provider he is friendly, knowledgeable and accessible. Via email and text he responded to any questions promptly not to mention his program is affordable and customized to my needs. Thanks Sam!
What is the intake process like for new patients?
The intake process theme appears in 27.1% of reviews. Patients consistently describe it as fast, simple, and low-friction. One reviewer described a 30-minute consultation that covered treatment options in detail. Another described the process as "straightforward and streamlined." No reviewer describes a complicated onboarding experience.
Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Everything was straightforward and streamlined. Definitely would recommend to others.
Does the practice deliver medications to patients' homes?
Multiple reviews reference home delivery as part of the standard service model. One patient specifically cited this as a convenience factor alongside affordability. The review record does not specify which medications are delivered or any geographic limitations on delivery.
I had an excellent experience with my doctor during a 30-minute consultation. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain my treatment options in detail, helping me understand the best plan tailored to my specific needs. The entire process felt thorough, professional, and personalized. What really stood out is the convenience they offer my medications are delivered straight to my home, which makes everything so much easier. On top of that, their services are very affordable. I highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for expert care, convenience, and cost-effective treatment. This was a completely different experience from other trt clinics I've reached out to.
How does the practice handle patients switching from another TRT provider?
Seven reviews (14.6%) come from switcher patients. The process is consistently described as easier than expected, with Ranney able to review prior protocols and identify adjustments. Patients who switched report that the transition was fast and that the new protocol felt more individualized. No reviewer describes complications in the transfer process.
Is the practice veteran-friendly?
One reviewer explicitly described the practice as "veteran friendly." The review record does not elaborate on what specific accommodations or programs that designation reflects. Prospective veteran patients should confirm details directly with the practice.
Sam was great. Went over everything in detail. Was helpful with any questions. Veteran friendly. Highly recommend to get your life back on track.
What do patients report about protocol personalization?
The contrast between "cookie cutter" protocols at other providers and individualized care at Unleashed Medical appears in multiple independent reviews. Patients describe protocols tailored to their specific labs, health profiles, and goals. One reviewer noted three months of active engagement with their full health profile before the provider made adjustments.
Three months on the program and Samuel has been actively engaged with my health progress. He has observed my whole health profile and tailored his recommendations and prescriptions to my personal needs. Not a cookie cutter program. Looking forward to seeing continued results as we move forward. Thanks Sam!
What do patients say about cost relative to other options?
Four reviews address value directly. The consistent characterization is that the practice is affordable, with two patients describing cost reduction after switching from prior providers. One patient described being on unnecessary medication at a prior clinic and noted feeling better at lower cost after switching. Specific pricing is not available in the review record.
I transferred from a clinic that was giving me a cookie cutter protocol which really I was taking medication that I didn't need so I decided to reach out to unleashed medical..Sam is awesome and has been helpful..You can tell He cares for his patients first not just trying to make a dollar..Since I feel better and a lot cheaper..I highly recommend this clinic and Samuel..He is top notch!
What subjective results do patients describe after starting TRT?
Eleven reviews (22.9%) reference subjective outcomes. The most commonly described changes include improved workout recovery, increased energy, and improved libido. One patient described these changes at eight weeks. Another described the realization that symptoms they had attributed to normal aging were related to low testosterone. These are patient-reported observations, not clinical outcome data, and individual results vary.
The process was extremely fast and easy. I would have done this years earlier if I would've known that low -T was my problem. I just thought this is how you feel as you get older. It's not!
Does the practice offer services beyond TRT?
The listed services include stem cell therapy, TRT, and peptide therapy. [source: https://unleashedmedical.com/] One reviewer explicitly noted that the practice "does more than just TRT." The review record, however, is heavily weighted toward TRT experiences. Patients interested in stem cell therapy or peptide therapy will find limited patient-reported detail in the current review dataset.
