Best Online TRT Providers
Six telehealth platforms that prescribe testosterone, scored on labs, clinician access, transparency and price.
6 providers reviewed · updated
How we make money. We earn a commission when you start with some of the providers on this page, at no cost to you. It does not affect the order. Ranking comes from our own scoring against the criteria below, which is set before any commercial consideration — and one provider here pays us nothing at all.
How we scored them
Every provider is scored out of five against four criteria. The weighting is ours and you are welcome to disagree with it — that is why it is printed here rather than linked.
- Diagnostic depth35%
- Does the intake panel include SHBG, free testosterone, LH, FSH, estradiol and haematocrit — or only total testosterone? A platform that treats on a single number cannot tell primary from secondary hypogonadism.
- Clinician access25%
- Whether you speak to a prescriber, how quickly, and whether the same one follows you. Asynchronous-only intake scores lower.
- Price transparency25%
- Whether the advertised figure is what you pay. Platforms whose headline price excludes labs, medication or consultation are marked down.
- Ongoing monitoring15%
- Follow-up labs at a stated interval, and whether haematocrit is tracked. Testosterone therapy is indefinite; the first prescription is the easy part.
Ties. Where two providers score identically, the one with the higher historical earnings-per-click is listed first. That is the only point at which commercial data touches the order, and it applies to ties only.

PeterMD
Best overall
4.3our score
The strongest balance on this list: real clinician involvement rather than a form, labs included, and the best price-to-substance ratio of the six. Scores highest on our criteria overall without winning any single one outright.
Stands out for
- Lowest effective monthly cost with labs included
- Free consultation
- Largest verified review base on this list
Not for you if
Turnaround is the slowest here at five to seven days, which matters if you are transferring from an existing prescription and cannot afford a gap.

Maximus
Best diagnostic depth
4.2our score
Four distinct testosterone protocols rather than one, at-home lab collection and board-certified prescribers. The intake actually distinguishes between the reasons testosterone is low, which is the step most telehealth skips.
Stands out for
- Four protocols including oral and injectable
- At-home lab collection included
- Board-certified prescriber review
Not for you if
Not the cheapest entry point, and the protocol choice is more decision than some men want. If you want a prescription and no discussion, this is the wrong fit.

Roman
Best experience
4.1our score
The most polished platform in men's telehealth, the largest support operation and fast fulfilment. Included and ranked purely on merit — our affiliate programme with them is unapproved, so this listing earns us nothing.
Stands out for
- Fastest support response
- Two to five day fulfilment
- Large multi-state footprint
Not for you if
Breadth over depth. If your case is complicated, or your last panel raised questions, a TRT-focused platform will serve you better.

MangoRx
Best same-day shipping
4.1our score
Injectable TRT with labs included at a flat monthly rate, and the fastest dispatch on this list. Ties with Roman on score and places below it only on review volume.
Stands out for
- Same-day shipping
- Labs included in the monthly rate
Not for you if
Five reviews. There is almost no independent signal about what the experience is actually like, which is a real reason for caution rather than a technicality.

Hims
Best for low entry cost
3.9our score
The lowest advertised starting price in telehealth, backed by the largest brand and the scale to make fulfilment reliable. Genuinely cheap to begin.
Stands out for
- Lowest advertised entry price
- Two to five day fulfilment
- Broad state coverage
Not for you if
The headline price is an entry point, not what TRT costs — which is why it scores lowest of the group on price transparency and places fifth despite the brand.

DudeMeds
Best for commercial-grade product
3.9our score
Uses commercial manufactured injectable testosterone rather than compounded preparations, which removes a variable that matters to men who have had a poor compounding experience.
Stands out for
- Commercial rather than compounded product
- Two to five day fulfilment
Not for you if
Four reviews and a narrow service. Little to go on beyond the product decision itself.

Frequently asked questions
- How did you rank these providers?
- Each is scored out of five against four weighted criteria: diagnostic depth (35%), clinician access (25%), price transparency (25%) and ongoing monitoring (15%). The criteria and weights are printed above the list. Scoring happens before any commercial consideration, and earnings only ever break a tie between two identical scores.
- Do you earn money from these recommendations?
- Yes, from some of them, at no additional cost to you. It does not affect the order, and this page is the evidence: Hims carries the highest earnings-per-click of any provider here and places fifth, while Roman places third on merit despite our affiliate programme with them being unapproved — meaning that listing earns us nothing at all.
- What should an online TRT provider test before prescribing?
- At minimum, two morning total testosterone measurements — the FDA label for testosterone cypionate requires confirmation on two separate mornings before therapy begins. A good panel adds SHBG and free testosterone, LH and FSH to separate primary from secondary hypogonadism, estradiol, and a baseline haematocrit. A platform prescribing on one total testosterone reading is not diagnosing anything.
- Is online TRT legitimate?
- Telehealth prescribing of testosterone is legal in the United States and testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance, so a legitimate provider will require lab work, a prescriber consultation and identity verification. A platform that will prescribe without labs is the signal to walk away.
- How much does online TRT actually cost per month?
- Advertised entry prices on this list run from about $50 to $77 per month, but the meaningful figure includes labs, consultation and medication. Ask what the total is at month three, once the introductory period ends and the first follow-up panel is due — that number is often materially different from the headline.
